Australian Rangelands Conference
July 2 - July 5
The conference will consider issues such as management of rangelands in the face of change, improving land use productivity, diversifying livelihoods, sustainable land use, social licence to operate the importance of Indigenous local knowledge, and of women, to enabling resilient rangelands and coping with change.
The core Conference is proposed to run from Monday evening (2 September 2019) with a welcome reception to Thursday lunchtime (5 September 2019), with the Monday and Thursday afternoon available for additional activities.
Field Trips include
- Monaro and Alpine grasslands – Grazing and conservation in temperate rangelands (1-day field trip)
- Semi-arid woodlands – Maintaining and improving social licence to operate (2.5-day field trip, including overnight stays in Cobar and Condobolin)
