I’m just so thrilled – $4,160 raised for the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief & Recovery Fund through my Self-Care Staycation workshops.
Thank you so much to the 60 generous women who attended and to those who were there with us in spirit and to all those who donated – your efforts are much appreciated.
I’m so pleased that there was a win-win here – women donating to a reputable organisation in the Red Cross to support their work and feeling like they were taking action and making a contribution in the face of all the weather events of the last few months (and years when you consider the drought). And women who attended were also able to take something away with them – great conversations, increased connections and some ideas for actions around their well-being and self-care.
Thank you to the Old Treasury Building Trust who donated the use of the beautiful JJ Clark room for our morning workshop.
Thank you to Australian Women in Agriculture for partnering with us to run the afternoon workshop and for donating the use of the room at Queen’s College.
Thank you to my wonderful colleague Dr Paige Williams who attended the workshops pro bono to provide her positive psychology and neuroscience expertise and to be available to participants for some extra support.
Thank you to my fabulous Business Manager Niki Flood for all her terrific logistical work in the lead up and on the day.
When women come together amazing things happen!
