The Farming Together program is sponsoring a delegate (registration only) to attend the 2017 AWiA Conference.
Farming Together is a resource for primary producers to help you value-add, build marketplace strength and boost returns.
It is about lifting on-farm profitability (at the farm gate and into the supply chain) by providing expert support and financial assistance to collaborative groups and cooperatives. The Australian Government has invested $14,934,000 (including GST) into Farming Together, the two-year Farm Co-operatives and Collaboration Pilot Program.
This three-day event from 22-24 September is an excellent opportunity to widen the agricultural network for Australian farming women, who are generating 48 per cent of real farm income.
This year’s conference is themed, Securing Australian Agriculture – sustaining families, farming and our future.
The conference is a chance to mix with women working in agriculture and hear from speakers on managing a wide range rural issues, including innovation, sustainability, profitability and farmer health.
If you wish to be considered for sponsorship to attend the conference, Farming Together’s Communication Team Leader, Sue Webster would like to hear from you. Please answer the following questions and email your response to Susan.Webster@scu.edu.au
(1) What industry/farming enterprise/business are you involved in?
(2) How would you benefit from attending the 2017 Australian Women in Agriculture Conference?
(3) How do you think sustainability and profitability work together for farmers?
Please email your responses to Sue Webster, Farming Together’s Communication Team Leader by Monday 21 August 2017. Email is Susan.Webster@scu.edu.au
